The rooms
Welcome to “La Doloréanne” guesthouse, elegant & large home built in the 1920’s that inspires calm & charm.
On the borders of southern Burgundy, Beaujolais and 40 minutes from Lyon, we live in a dynamic region in the heart of unspoilt nature.
Located close to the city center of Saint Didier sur Chalaronne, we have many restaurants within walking distance all around our home.
The rooms
Four bedrooms are located on the first and second floor with an entrance and an independent terrace.
They all have a bathroom and separate toilet.
The fifth bedroom is an apartment located on the ground floor and completely independent.
The parking is secure and private for each room.
The breakfast
Hearty and gourmet, the emphasis is on organic, artisanal and especially “homemade”!
We offer our jams, our madeleines, brioches and fresh bread, scrambled garden eggs or omelette, it’s up to you ! Fried bacon, farm yogurts, fruit juices from local producers of Beaujolais and goat’s cheese, county cheese and the famous Bleu de bresse. In season, you can sometimes taste homemade pies and all warm pancakes in winter.
Breakfast is served in our dining room in winter; or on the terrace near the pool in summer.
The garden
Tables & chairs are positioned around the garden harmoniously for picnics, under the trees, in the peace & quiet.
The pool’s sunbeds & the garden swing are an invitation to chill & relax.
The swimming-pool is heated.

Danielle,
A graduate in hospitality business, I specialized as a sommelier.
I come from Nice,but moved out here13 years ago & it is pure happiness!
We have a preserved landscape, the countryside with its haystacks, local producers, forests to keep cool & look for mushrooms, the ponds & the rivers, the strolls along the Saône’s riverbank.
And yet we are not far from cities with a rich history & a cultural asset. I really wanted to combine quality of life & a professional project so here we are !
Stéphane, my companion
He has grown up in the area. He is a wine seller for “terre des templiers en Banyuls et Collioures” and the words generosity & sharing suit him the best.
We both have kept our childlike souls & we decided to open our house & garden’s cosiness also to share a certain view of the beautiful environment & a will to preserve Nature.
Our guidelines: organic, local, natural & French !
We chose “La Doloreanne “& our logo as a reference to Time.
Take time to share, play, have fun together.
Go back in time listening to one of our songs on the1950’s jukebox, for some of us bringing back childhood memories!…Hence our guestrooms’ names.
Our little boy Gabriel is always happy to share his toys, his house and his good mood!
Without forgetting “Moya” our dog Braque Allemand who will welcome you all gently!
